Learn to overcome trauma and loss
Everyone experiences loss. The loss of an important part of your life such as a parent, a loved one or even a job can leave you feeling disoriented, empty, sad and lost. Getting your life back on track can be difficult, time consuming and painful.
Trauma is a more common experience than we would like to think.
Trauma robs you of your sense of safety and your confidence in your own ability to survive, live your life and be happy. When we think of trauma, we tend to think of major trauma such as an injury accident, combat, a natural disaster or a serious illness. Interestingly, a collection of small traumas, occurring over time, will produce the same experience. These “small t” traumas may seem minor but the effects are cumulative and produce the same condition as the “Large T” Trauma experienced in combat or a severe injury.
I can help you navigate the difficult path through trauma and loss.
We will use evidence-based, state of the art techniques to explore your experience and the feelings surrounding your experience. The goal is to take the pain out of your memories, make meaning from them and fully integrate them into your life experience narrative. The result is that painful difficult memories are changed to rich, meaningful memories that positively contribute to the richness of your life.
